The Siberian Husky , known as the sled dog, is an imposing but friendly and sociable dog. Originally from Northeast Asia, it was developed by the Chukchi tribe to work and live harmoniously with humans and other animals. With a thick layer of skin and hair, it is adapted to the cold and suitable for mild climates. Recognized for its endurance and sled-pulling ability, it gained popularity after a rescue expedition in Alaska in 1925. Coming in a variety of coat colors, the Husky has an outgoing, playful and sociable temperament, but requires regular exercise to avoid destructive behavior. Although it is not overly vocal, it has a habit of howling. Requires care with daily brushing and monthly baths. Regarding health, it is prone to eye diseases and hip dysplasia.
