Angel Falls, also known as Salto Ángel, is the second highest waterfall in the world, with a total height of 978 meters and an uninterrupted drop of 807 meters. Located in the Gran Sabana region of Venezuela, near Auyan-tepui, the falls were named after pilot Jimmy Angel, who discovered them in 1937. The region offers a rich diversity of tropical wildlife.
