Most of the filming for the series took place in the State of Georgia, USA, as tax incentives were offered for productions there. Thus, the first season was recorded in Atlanta, but the rest were made in Senoia. Until the eleventh year, the 16mm format was used, which allowed for cost savings. However, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, which called for a reduction in human contact, Season 11 had to use digital cameras.
