Giovanna Lancellotti is doing a good job playing the young Rochelle, however, the character itself ends up getting lost in a plot that is not limited to simplistic Manichaeisms. João Emanuel Carneiro is skilled at balancing the good and evil of the characters well, even those who commit the most terrible acts, have justifications for their actions (albeit absurd). However, this is not the case with Rochelle, who is bad simply for the pleasure of being bad. She disrespects her mother, says terrible things at the worst of times, makes fun of her father, and treats her adopted sister badly, for no apparent reason. The sister is the main target of her evil, without any explanation. In summary, Rochelle is extremely bad, lacking nuances and complexities.
