Chow Chow
Chow Chow is an exotic dog breed famous for its blue tongue and a coat that resembles a lion's mane. Originally from China, they live an average of 8 to 12 years. Its origins date back to the Han Dynasty, where it was used in activities such as guarding and traction. It arrived in the West in the 19th century and underwent modifications in England to increase its size and muscle mass. Its fur is dense and can come in different colors. It is known for being reserved and independent, generally showing loyalty to just one owner. It is important to socialize him from a young age so that he interacts well with children, strangers and other animals. It is not given to excessive barking, but can become destructive if not properly trained. They need daily brushing, eye and ear cleaning, weekly or fortnightly baths, and regular nail trimming. Common health problems include entropion, hip dysplasia and skin issues.
