Irmão do Jorel is a successful Brazilian animation on Cartoon Network, being the first in the country to be exported internationally. Created by Juliano Enrico, the series is inspired by his own life and full of cultural references from the 90s. Jor-El, the popular brother, is inspired by Juliano's real brother, whose name is a tribute to Superman's father in the film 1979. The protagonist, inspired by the creator himself, reflects real situations and references from the time, while the actors contribute to enrich the series with their interpretations. An interesting fact is that the series uses original voice recordings, adding authenticity to the characters.
