December 21st Coquito
December 21st Coquito day, celebrates the traditional Puerto Rican Christmas drink, made with rum, coconut cream and milk. Although its exact origin is uncertain, it is believed to have emerged in the colonial period, as a local adaptation of eggnog, using coconut. Each family has its own recipe, passed down from generation to generation. Created in 2018 by Destilería Serrallés, this day highlights the culture and traditions of Puerto Rico, encouraging people to share and celebrate this typical drink during the holiday season.
