December 28 day two Holy Innocents
December 28 day two Holy Innocents, is a Christian celebration of biblical origin, commemorating the dead children by order of King Herod, an episode known as the Massacre of the Innocents. Embora seja uma data cristã, in countries such as Spain, Latin America and the Philippines, the data is marked by jumps and peças, in a similar way to Dia da Mentira. In Spanish folklore, there are two costumes of placing a paper figure on the shores of something as a way to jump around with the “innocence” of the victim and make noises. Regional festivals mark dates, such as the “Festa dels Enfarinats” in Ibi, where a farinha e ovos war takes place, and the Los Locos festival in Valencia, where a fictitious “governante” is chosen for the day.
