Brigitte Mayer opened many doors for Brazilian women's surfing

Brigitte Mayer opened many doors for Brazilian women's surfing, competing until she was 40 years old. Despite this, the category does not have much representation in the world elite. Tatiana Weston-Webb always knew the sea would not be easy. At the Tokyo-2020 Olympics, she was accompanied by Silvana Lima, however, her companion has not been part of the professional circuit since 2019. Currently, Brazilian women's surfing is evolving, with Carissa Moore, Stephanie Gilmore, Brisa Hennessy. Before them, Jaqueline Silva, Layne Beachley, Lisa Andersen and several others stood out.
