John Woo's version of "Mission: Impossible II" was about 3 and a half hours long. The studio was not impressed and told the director that the film could not exceed 2 hours. This is one of the commonly cited reasons for the various continuity errors and plot holes in the final version. After Russell Crowe turned it down, Dougray Scott was Bryan Singer's first choice to play Wolverine in the X-Men saga. However, the actor was participating at the time in the recording of “Mission: Impossible II”, and due to delays in production, he ended up being replaced by Hugh Jackman.
