Dope (2015),Malcolm Adecombi (Shameik Moore) is a nerd who lives in a tough neighborhood in Los Angeles, dreams of getting into one of the best universities in the country and struggles between final exams, academic admissions, auditions of hip-hop classics and rehearsals of his rock band. One night Malcolm accepts an invitation to a party in a troubled neighborhood, after a mess he ends up getting involved with drug trafficking, he returns home with a backpack full of drugs, which leads him to risk new ways to get along. Now, Malcolm must fight to escape a life of crime and still get into college, while being pursued by the local gang.
