Marília Dias Mendonça (Cristianópolis, July 22, 1995 - Piedade de Caratinga, November 5, 2021) was a Brazilian singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. Mendonça is recognized as the leader of the feminejo musical subgenre — sertanejo by women — and her contribution to female empowerment revolutionized the universe of country music between the 2010s and 2020s. after releasing his first eponymous DVD in 2016. The second album Realidade was released in 2017 and received a Latin Grammy nomination in the Best Country Music Album category. In 2019, she launched Todos os Cantos, a scripted project with concerts recorded by the singer in all capitals of the country. The singer died on November 5, 2021, the victim of a fatal plane crash in Piedade de Caratinga, Minas Gerais, the neighboring city of Caratinga, where she would perform a concert.
