Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a 2022 American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the sequel to Doctor Strange (2016) and will connect to the Disney+ series WandaVision. After battling Dormammu and Thanos in the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sorcerer Supreme Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and his partner Wong (Benedict Wong) continue their research on the Time Stone. However, an old friend turned enemy puts an end to his plans, unleashing unspeakable evil, and Strange must face a powerful new threat. The film is part of Phase 4 of the MCU, and Strange will have to rely on the help of Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen), who has been isolated since the events of WandaVision, to prevent the universe from collapsing due to the same spell that brought the villains. from Teioso to the world of the Avengers.
