The Papillon
The Papillon is a small breed of dog known for its large, erect ears, which resemble butterfly wings, hence its name, which means "butterfly" in French. Originally from Europe, it is an ancient breed, with records of its existence dating back to the 16th century. These dogs are extremely intelligent, alert and energetic, with a friendly and affectionate personality. Its coat is long and silky, with a variety of colors, often white with spots of black, red, gold or tricolor.
