Adjectives are words that describe something or someone, indicating characteristics such as size, color, appearance, emotions and qualities.
1. How to Use Adjectives?
Unlike in Portuguese, in English the adjective comes before the noun. See:
- I have a big house.
- She has a small cat.
Adjectives do not vary in gender or number. That is, they do not change to feminine/masculine or singular/plural.
- He is a tall boy.
- They are tall boys. → The adjective does not change!
