Nikola Tesla: The Genius of Innovations
Nikola Tesla, born on July 10, 1856, in what is now Serbia, is widely recognized as one of the greatest inventors in history. An engineer and pioneer in electrical research, Tesla was responsible for inventions related to alternating current (AC), which replaced Thomas Edison's direct current (DC), including the famous Tesla coil, and made crucial contributions to the advancement of radio.
However, despite his remarkable inventions, Tesla's life was marked by financial difficulties and eccentricities that prevented him from being widely recognized during his lifetime. Throughout his life, he faced serious financial problems and went through periods of debt. In addition, he had unusual habits and beliefs, such as an aversion to pearls and a strong attraction to numerology, in addition to showing a peculiar affection for pigeons, which he cared for with dedication.
A visionary, Tesla predicted with impressive accuracy technologies that would emerge long after his death, such as instant communication and self-driving cars. His ideas about the transmission of signals by magnetic waves anticipated the concept of smartphones and the internet, for example. After his death in 1943, many of his documents and inventions were lost.
