Basenji
Basenji, originally from Central Africa, is known for its unique characteristic of not barking, but rather making other types of sounds. With weight ranging from 9 to 12 kg and an average height of 35 to 42 cm. This dog, descended from an ancient lineage, was often used as a guard dog among African tribes. Although affectionate with its owners, it is independent and needs mental stimulation to stay happy. Although it can get along well with older children, it needs to be trained to interact safely. Wary of strangers and prone to destructive behavior when bored, requires daily exercise and mental challenges. It needs little brushing and does not require frequent baths. Regarding health, it is prone to dermatitis, kidney and urinary problems, as well as infertility in some females.
