Akita, also known as Akita Inu, is a large dog with a charming appearance, characterized by its fidelity, protective capacity and love of games. Originally from Japan, it was traditionally used for hunting and protection. There are two recognized varieties of the breed, the Japanese Akita and the American Akita, although they are considered separate breeds in other parts of the world.
