The Tonkinese
The Tonkinese Cat is a relatively recent breed, originating in North America. It was first developed in the 1960s by crossing Siamese and Burmese cats. It has a medium, muscular and well-proportioned body, with a rounded head and medium to large ears. Its fur is short, silky and fine, with a soft texture to the touch. It is known for being an extroverted, affectionate and social cat. They are highly intelligent, playful and enjoy interacting with their owners. It requires little coat care, but it is important to keep its ears clean and its claws trimmed. There is no pathological history related to the Tonkinese. As with all cats, this breed requires a vaccination program, regular parasite control and annual health checks.
