The Sacred Burmese
The Sacred Burmese Gtao is a large cat, with semi-long fur and dark coloring at the ends. Known for their loving and calm nature, they are sociable and prefer human company. Their origin dates back to their introduction in France around 1919 and they were rebuilt after the Second World War, almost becoming extinct, being rebuilt by crossing with long-haired breeds and Siamese lines. They may show signs of kidney failure and require a balanced diet. The coat requires weekly brushing. Like all cats, they need regular vaccinations, parasite control and health care. These cats enjoy social contact with their owners and need a safe indoor environment with access to outdoor spaces.
