The Longhaired Persian
The Longhaired Persian Cat is a breed of medium-sized, robust cats, with a prominent head in relation to the body, characterized by its wide, rounded head, small ears and flat nose. They have large, bright eyes, short, strong legs, with large paws and toes with tufts of fur. Its tail is short and fluffy, while the coat is dense and luxurious. They are known for their tranquility and affection, preferring a serene life. Originally from Persia and Turkey, they have undergone selective breeding over the years, resulting in a more robust physiognomy and flattened face compared to the first specimens. They are prone to a series of health problems, such as jaw deformity, respiratory problems, ophthalmological problems and kidney failure, requiring regular care with their diet, eyes, skin and hygiene.
