Burmilla cats are an elegant breed with a short, silky coat in shades of shiny silver. They are known for their affectionate, sociable and intelligent personality. They appeared in the United Kingdom in the 1980s. They are the result of crossing between Chinchilla Persian and Burmese cats. Burmillas' eyes are large and expressive, usually in shades of green or amber. They are known for being affectionate, sociable and intelligent cats. They like to be around their owners and are generally friendly with other pets and children. The Burmillas' short coat requires little grooming, just an occasional brush to remove loose hair and maintain shine.
