April 24
April 24 is Girls in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Day, a global initiative of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) that aims to inspire and empower girls and young women to explore careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Established in 2010, the day is celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday of April and is recognized in more than 150 countries. The main goal is to reduce the gender gap in the technology sector by encouraging female participation in a field historically dominated by men.
International Girls in ICT Day is an opportunity to reinforce the commitment to gender equality and promote a more inclusive and diverse environment in the technology sector.
