Located in Baja California Sur, the National Park Cable Pulmo Cabo Pulmo is one of the best preserved marine ecosystems in Mexico. Created in 1995, the park protects one of the oldest coral reefs in the North Pacific, dating back some 20,000 years. Once threatened by overfishing, Cabo Pulmo has become a model of conservation, with its biodiversity recovering at an extraordinary rate.
The place is a must-see destination for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts, offering crystal-clear waters and an incredible variety of marine life. Highlights include hammerhead sharks, manta rays, sea turtles and giant schools of tropical fish.
