The Magic of Gaudí in the Middle of Nature
Park Güell is one of Antoni Gaudí's most important works, located in Barcelona. Originally designed as a luxury housing development for high society, the project was conceived by Eusebi Güell, a wealthy businessman and friend of Gaudí. Construction began in 1900, but due to low demand, the project was not completed as planned. In 1922, the park was opened to the public and in 1984 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The park is a mix of nature and architecture, with organic and colorful elements that are hallmarks of Gaudí's unique style. The main attractions include the famous wavy bench covered in colorful ceramics, the central square with leaning columns and the "Tile Dragon" at the entrance, which has become an icon of Barcelona. Park Güell also offers stunning views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea.
In addition to the public area, there is a paid monumental zone, where Gaudí's main works are displayed. The park is a perfect place for peaceful strolls, admiring art and nature, and capturing unforgettable images of the city.
