March 14 is Animals
March 14 is Animals Day in Brazil. The date aims to raise awareness among the population about the importance of protecting and respecting animals, whether they are domestic, wild or at risk of extinction.
The celebration seeks to draw attention to issues such as combating mistreatment, preserving species and the responsible adoption of pets. Many NGOs and animal protection organizations promote awareness campaigns, vaccination, neutering and encouragement of the adoption of abandoned animals.
In addition to National Animal Day, there are also other important dates related to the animal cause, such as World Animal Day (October 4), which coincides with the day of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and ecology.
