January 15 is Fair Play and Anti-Doping in Sports Day
January 15 is Fair Play and Anti-Doping in Sports Day, a date established by Law No. 13,322/2016.
This date aims to raise awareness among athletes, coaches, managers and the general public about the importance of fairness and equality in sports competitions, in addition to highlighting the risks and consequences of using prohibited substances.
Although doping is not considered a crime in Brazil, it can result in severe punishments, including loss of titles, fines, provision of social services and suspension, depending on the modality and substance used.
Celebrating the National Fair Play and Anti-Doping in Sports Day reinforces the country's commitment to integrity and justice in sports practices, promoting a healthier and more ethical environment for everyone involved.
