December 5th is Accessibility
December 5th is Accessibility Day in Brazil and its main objective is to raise awareness in society about the importance of ensuring equal access for all people, especially those with disabilities or reduced mobility. The date seeks to promote discussions and actions aimed at social inclusion, removing barriers and adapting public and private spaces so that they are accessible to all. Accessibility is a fundamental right, provided for in the Brazilian Law for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (Law No. 13,146/2015), which ensures equal access conditions in areas such as education, work, transportation, communication and leisure.
