December 2nd is Pan American Health
December 2nd is Pan American Health Day. The date was established in 1971 during the 29th Pan American Sanitary Conference, held in Bogotá, Colombia, with the aim of promoting health and well-being throughout the Americas. The celebration of this day aims to raise awareness about the importance of health and disease prevention, as well as to highlight public health initiatives in the region. The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) plays a key role in coordinating activities related to this date, encouraging governments, organizations and citizens to engage in actions that promote health and improve quality of life.
