November 21st is Television
November 21st is Television Day. The date was established during the UNESCO General Conference in 1996, with the aim of celebrating television as a means of communication and promoting its contribution to the exchange of information and the dissemination of culture. The idea is to highlight the importance of television in promoting peace, understanding and social development, as well as serving as a platform for discussing relevant global issues. The choice of November 21st also refers to the first television broadcast in 1925, which took place in Great Britain. Since then, television has evolved enormously, becoming one of the main means of communication worldwide.
