November 20, Universal Children's
November 20, Universal Children's Day, was established by the UN in 1954 with the aim of promoting global unity, raising awareness of children's rights and improving children's well-being. The date was chosen to coincide with the Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989), which establish fundamental rights such as access to health, education and protection from abuse. In many countries, this day is marked by campaigns and events that promote the importance of a safe and dignified environment for child development, remembering that the future of societies depends on the well-being of today's children.
