November 1st is Vegan
November 1st is Vegan Day. This date was established in 1994 by the Vegan Society of the United Kingdom, in celebration of its 50th anniversary. The Vegan Society was founded in 1944 by Donald Watson, who coined the term "vegan" to define a lifestyle that excludes all products of animal origin, not only in food, but also in other areas such as clothing and cosmetics. The date aims to honor the history and values of veganism, as well as the principles of compassion and respect for all living beings that it represents. Since then, World Vegan Day has become a celebrated occasion in many countries, with events and campaigns organized by vegan associations, environmental groups and animal rights advocates.
