October 16th is Boss
October 16th is Boss 's Day, also known as National Boss Day, with the aim of honoring and thanking bosses for their dedication and responsibility towards their employees. The date emerged in 1958 in the United States, on the initiative of Patricia Bays Haroski, secretary of the State Farm Insurance Company, who chose the day in honor of the birthday of her father, who was also her boss. Although the celebration is more common in countries such as the United States, Canada and Lithuania, Boss's Day is an opportunity to strengthen relationships between bosses and employees. If the day falls on a weekend, the celebration is postponed to the next business day.
