October 16th is Spine
October 16th is Spine Day. The day aims to raise awareness about the impact of spinal diseases on people's lives and society. These conditions are prevalent and costly, ranging from benign situations that can be easily treated to more serious cases that require complex treatments. In developing countries, spinal diseases, such as sequelae of deformities in children and traumatic injuries, are exacerbated by poor health conditions and limited access to medical care. In developed nations, concerns focus on problems arising from aging, which can cause pain, postural changes and nerve compression. In addition, genetic factors and lifestyle choices, such as avoiding a sedentary lifestyle, controlling weight and exercising, play a crucial role in spinal health.
