Saint Faustina 's Day is celebrated on October 5. Saint Faustina Kowalska was a Polish nun known for her visions of Jesus Christ, who entrusted her with the mission of spreading the message of Divine Mercy. She promoted devotion to Divine Mercy, including the recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday, immediately following Easter. Born in 1905, Faustina entered religious life at the age of 18, facing challenges but persevering in her faith. Her visions and mystical experiences were recorded in a diary, which initially met with resistance but, with the support of Pope John Paul II, were recognized. Saint Faustina was canonized in 2000, and her legacy is the devotion to Divine Mercy.
