Leo Santana is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and presenter. Since he was a teenager, he always dreamed of working as a musician. He started playing pandeiro in a samba band from his community called Simplicidade Maior, but because he wanted to pursue a career as a vocalist, he decided to leave the band. Thus, he formed the band Zairê, which later began to be called Garotos de Programa. Afterwards he was invited to join Guettho's Pegadha band, in which he stayed for a year. Then he decided to set up the band Apert Play together with his friends. However, in the latter, he had a friend named Jean Nanico, who was a member of the band Parangolé, which had recently fired the vocalist Bambam, and after Jean showed a demo CD for the band's production, Leo was invited to be part of the group. In December 2013, the singer announced that he was leaving Parangolé, revealing that the reason was because he felt that his name was strong enough to pursue a solo career... Did you know?
