Saint Julia 's Day is celebrated on May 22nd . She was born in 420 in Carthage and was a slave to a pagan merchant. Saint Júlia is remembered for her devotion to Christianity and her courage in not denying her faith, even when facing torture and persecution. She was crucified by Felix, governor of the island of Corsica, for refusing to abandon her faith. His body was found floating in the sea and since then, his liturgical feast has been celebrated annually in his memory.
