Saint Christopher of Magellan's Day is celebrated on May 21st . He was born in Totatiche, Mexico, in 1869, and as a priest, he helped create schools, carpentry shops, orphanages, homes for the elderly, chapels and founded the Auxiliary Seminary of Our Lady of Guadalupe. During the Cristera War, on May 25, 1927, he was martyred due to religious persecution. His last words were of forgiveness and peace. He was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2000, coinciding with the date of his celebration.
