Saint Guidance of Anderlecht
Saint Guidance of Anderlecht was a Belgian saint of the 10th and 11th centuries known for his detachment from material goods and his dedication to charity. Initially a sacristan, he became a pilgrim after losing his goods in a shipwreck, traveling across Europe to help those in need. Upon returning to Anderlecht, where he died and was buried, his devotion grew, especially among sacristans, peasants and coachmen. His feast day is celebrated on September 12th , with a procession and special blessing for horses and riders. São Guido is remembered as an example of generosity and devotion to this day.
