World Skateboard Day, celebrated on June 21st , was established in 2004 by IASC – International Association of Skateboards Companies, founded in 1994. More than 10 countries, including Brazil, joined the celebrations. Skateboarding transcends the category of sport, being a form of artistic expression, leisure and a community united by the passion for skateboarding. This date is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity and creativity that skateboarding brings to the lives of people around the world. Additionally, it serves as a platform to promote inclusion, respect and friendship among skateboarders, highlighting the positive impact that skateboarding can have on local communities.
