The Donkey Sanctuary in Aruba offers a unique experience
History of André Padilha - Distrito Federal, Brasil
The Donkey Sanctuary in Aruba offers a unique experience, combining the Dutch tradition of hugging cows with affectionate interaction with donkeys. With a 500-year presence on the island, these gentle animals are a stress-relieving activity. Located in Bringamosa, the sanctuary is home to around one hundred rescued donkeys, providing interactions and support for visitors. Founded in 1997, the sanctuary recently moved to a new location eight times larger, accessible by vehicle. A combination tour with Philip's Ostrich Farm and Animal Sanctuary supports conservation efforts and offers an educational wildlife journey in Aruba. The history of donkeys in Aruba dates back to colonial times.
