The Tuxauas
The Tuxauas theme in the Parintins Folklore Festival highlights the representation of indigenous leaders or elders from Amazonian communities. They symbolize wisdom, leadership and the preservation of ancestral traditions. During the performance, the Tuxauas demonstrate authority, dignity and cultural knowledge, contributing to enriching the folkloric narrative and deepening the connection with the historical roots of the Amazon region. The Tuxauas' performance is evaluated by the judges based on authenticity, cultural expression and the ability to transmit the essence of indigenous values and traditions.
