Pato Fu
Pato Fu is a Brazilian pop rock band formed in 1992 in Belo Horizonte by Fernanda Takai, John Ulhoa, Ricardo Koctus, Glauco Nastacia and Richard Neves. Among the most famous songs that the band recorded are "Sobre o Tempo", "Antes que Seja Tarde", "Depois", "Perdendo Dentes", "Anormal" and the re-recording of "Ando Meio Offline". The group also stood out for the album Música de Brinquedo, in 2010, played only with toy instruments. The band started in September 1992, when Fernanda Takai, until then lead singer of the band Fernanda & 3 do Povo decided to form a band with two friends from a guitar shop where she used to buy strings. The friends were John Ulhoa and Ricardo Koctus, from the band Sustados por 1 Gesto e Sexo Excionário. They decided to call themselves Pato Fu in allusion to a strip in which the cat Garfield fought gato-fu. In order not to remember the original story so much, they changed the first letter, and got a name as strange as the sound they would make later... Did you know?
