The longest board in the world measures 42 feet and weighs nearly 600 pounds. It was used to break the world record for the most people surfing the same board at once. The feat took place on June 20, 2015, in Huntington Beach, California, with a total of 66 people. The board is currently displayed as a cultural tribute at the International Surfing Museum located in Huntington Beach. The previous record was 47 people on a board 12 meters long, 3 meters wide and 30 centimeters thick, held in Queensland, Australia. The two boards were manufactured by Australian Nev Heyman, who broke his own record.
