Friends

Friends is an American sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman and presented on the NBC television network between September 22, 1994 and May 6, 2004, with a total of 236 episodes. The series revolved around a group of friends who lived in the Greenwich Village neighborhood on the island of Manhattan in New York City. The series featured all six main cast members throughout its run, with numerous secondary characters recurring across all ten seasons. Then they starred: Jennifer Aniston as the rich and spoiled waitress Rachel Green, Courteney Cox as the chef Monica Geller (sister of Ross), Lisa Kudrow as the musician Phoebe Buffay, Matt LeBlanc as the actor Joey Tribbiani, Matthew Perry as the food processor data Chandler Bing and David Schwimmer as paleantologist Ross Geller (Monicas older brother)

Before reaching the "Friends" designation, the series was considered with other titles such as "Friends Like Us", "Six of One", "Across the Hall" and even "Insomnia Cafe". "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts is an iconic song, but did you know it wasn't the first choice for the song on "Friends"? In fact, the original song was "Shinny Happy People" by R.E.M.

James Michael Tyler

James Michael Tyler was chosen to play the iconic Gunther from the series “Friends” due to his ability to work a coffee machine on the set of Central Perk. Although not the main character of the series, Gunther is a minor figure who has played a major role in some episodes. The character's name was assigned to him in the episode "The One Where Ross Finds Out" (1995), before Rachel and Ross kiss. It is notable that the ability to handle a coffee machine has contributed to the actor's success.
