April 24 is Family at School Day
April 24 is Family at School Day, a date established by the Ministry of Education in 2001 with the aim of strengthening ties between educational institutions and students' families. The initiative aims to highlight the importance of active participation by parents and guardians in the school life of children and adolescents, promoting a more collaborative and welcoming educational environment.
Throughout the day, public and private schools in various regions of the country organize lectures, workshops, cultural presentations, knowledge fairs and discussion groups, creating opportunities for educators and families to come together. The idea is to open the doors of the school to the community, encouraging dialogue, listening and the exchange of experiences about the challenges of today's education.
Studies show that involving families in the daily school routine improves academic performance, reduces school dropout rates and contributes to students' emotional development.
