April 23 is Corinthian Fan's Day
April 23 is Corinthian Fan's Day, an official tribute to the millions of fans of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista. The date was established by Law No. 14,399, of May 5, 2007, and is part of the official calendar of the city of São Paulo.
The choice of the day coincides with Saint George's Day, the club's patron saint and a symbol of courage and perseverance, values that reflect the spirit of the black and white fans. The relationship between the saint and Corinthians is so strong that the club's headquarters are located at Rua São Jorge, 777, in Parque São Jorge.
Known as Fiel, the Corinthians fans are one of the largest and most engaged in Brazil, following the team at all times, inside and outside the stadiums. Corinthians Fan Day is an opportunity to recognize this dedication and celebrate the history of a club founded in 1910 by workers who dreamed of a team for the people.
