Easter United States
In the United States, Easter is celebrated with a variety of fun traditions, two of the most popular being the Easter Egg Hunt and the Easter Egg Roll, events that draw large crowds and make the holiday even more special.
The Easter Egg Hunt is a beloved tradition for children and adults across the country. In this activity, colored eggs, usually chocolate or decorated, are hidden in gardens, parks, or even indoors. Children compete to find the most eggs, in a game that symbolizes the renewal and joy of spring. The Easter Egg Hunt is one of the most joyful ways to celebrate Easter in American homes, bringing families outdoors to have fun.
Another signature event takes place at the White House, where the Easter Egg Roll is held annually on the lawn of the presidential residence. This competition involves rolling hard-boiled eggs down a hill with a spoon, in a race that is traditionally open to children but has a great festive atmosphere. Since 1878, the White House has hosted this event, making it one of the greatest symbols of the Easter celebration in the country.
