February 22nd is Scout Thought Day
Todaynd is Scout Thought Day, a special day for members of the Scout movement around the world. The date marks the birth anniversary of Robert Baden-Powell, founder of Scouting, and his wife, Olave Baden-Powell, who led the World Guides.
Created in 1926, Scout Thought Day is an opportunity for Scouts to reflect on the principles of friendship, solidarity, respect for nature and service to the community, values that guide the movement. It is also a time for global connection, as the day is celebrated in more than 150 countries, promoting the spirit of brotherhood among young people.
Events such as camps, community activities, ceremonies and fundraisers will be held by Scout groups, reinforcing the commitment to positive actions and social impact. Furthermore, the date is an opportunity to remember the importance of small actions in everyday life, which, together, can transform the world.
World Scout Thinking Day is more than a celebration: it is a call for everyone, scouts or not, to reflect on how to contribute to a more united and harmonious world.
