November 27 is the feast day of Our Lady of Grace
November 27 is the feast day of Our Lady of Grace . This day is dedicated to the Virgin Mary under the invocation of Our Lady of Grace, who is especially venerated in the Catholic tradition. Devotion to Our Lady of Grace dates back to 1830, when the French nun Catherine Labouré had a series of visions of the Virgin Mary in a convent in Paris. During these apparitions, Mary requested that a medal be created in her honor, known as the "Miraculous Medal." Catherine described Mary as clothed in a cloak and surrounded by light, with the inscription: "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee." The medal has become a powerful symbol of faith and protection, and many attribute graces and miracles to the intercession of Our Lady of Grace. Since then, the devotion has spread throughout the world.
